Researchers in higher education and at other recognised research institutions* within South Africa are invited to apply for research funding within the SANAP programme at the National Research Foundation (NRF).

Applications will open on Monday 25 February 2008 and must reach the NRF by no later than Friday 9 May 2008.

(Applicants are advised to familiarise themselves with the internal deadline date as set by their institutions, which will precede 9 May 2008)

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications by the end of September 2008 and successful applicants will receive their grant funding in 2009.

The SANAP guide document is available on the NRF website and http://nrfonline.nrf.ac.za on the welcome page. It is essential that applicants read the full description of the programme, as well as the guiding principles, criteria and other details of eligibility for support, before preparing an application on the NRF online system.
