SAEON in the Media

As in the case of Ecological Circuits 1, the striking cover illustration of Ecological Circuits 2 was designed by Kamal Naicker, SAEON's Business Manager. Kamal was also responsible for the illustrations inside the publication.

Articles on SAEON-sponsored awards at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists and the success of Ecological Circuits 1 appeared in Zanendaba, the NRF’s internal newsletter.

Following the success of Ecological Circuits 1, a second SAEON supplement has been published with the March 2009 edition of PositionIT.

Ecological Circuits 2 contains articles on data and information management systems relevant to ecological, environmental and earth observation disciplines. These articles were written by the developers and power users of the systems and give a local and international perspective on information management.

The publication aims to share knowledge on the various information management initiatives in ecology, environmental science, agriculture and associated sciences. This issue provides further exposure to systems and methodologies for the capture and use of environmental data.

PositionIT is probably the only specialist magazine in the field of geoinformatics, surveying, GIS, GPS and location based services for Southern Africa. Articles are of a popular nature and this also applies to the SAEON supplement. Browse to PositionIT for more information.

You can access the supplement or send your postal address to Avinash if you’d like to order a print copy.
