SAEON’s Dr Nicky Allsopp, a mushroom expert and enthusiast, leads a mushrooming excursion.

In an article entitled "Getting excited about science", SAEON's participation in National Science Week 2010 is highlighted. The article appeared in Grocotts Mail of 6 August 2010.

 An article entitled “Bay’s humpback dolphins under scientific scrutiny” appeared in The Herald of 3 August 2010. It outlines the research of a young Dutch student, Renee Kopers, under the auspices of SAEON’s Elwandle Node.

An article entitled “Fungi Foray” was published on the Slow Food Mother City website. It describes a mushrooming excursion in Tokai Arboretum in Cape Town. The excursion was led by SAEON’s Dr Nicky Allsopp, who has a background in ecology and plant ecophysiology, and is a mushroom expert and enthusiast.
